Bayla (Italian: Bender Beila, Somali: Bandar Beyla) is a town located in the northeastern Bari region of Somalia.
The town sustained heavy damage from the tsunami that followed the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake.[1]
Bayla District as a whole is primarily inhabited by the Cisman Mahmoud and Mohamud Ali sub-clans of the Majerteen and Leelkase branches of the Somali Darod clan.
